The Urban Collective pushed boundaries and led the way for innovation and creativity with the fifth installment of Art Africa Miami Art Fair, (AAMAF). For the 2015 edition, AAMAF was held at The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theatre Cultural Arts Complex, 819 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33136. The fun  went a little something like this...

Film screening of "Deep City: The Birth of the Miami Sound", an entertaining documentary on the history of soul music in Miami and highlighting Overtown as the "Harlem of the South". (a WLRN Production)

Kids in Overtown experienced the art fair and learned about various art mediums through presentation and practice by art professionals throughout the community.

This was a MUST ATTEND on our program, an intriguing talk on the 2015 theme: "Transcultural Black Presence", curated by Dr. Carole Boyce Davies, Cornel University, Professor of Africana Studies.
